Logicworks Chooses Cloud.com’s Open Source Cloud Computing Platform to Power infiniCloud
Leading provider of enterprise hosting and cloud solutions selects CloudStack as the foundation for building its high-performance, state-of-the-art public cloud computing service
CUPERTINO, Calif. - March 09 - Cloud.com, a leader in open source cloud computing software, today announced that Logicworks, a leading provider of enterprise hosting and cloud solutions, is using the company’s flagship product, CloudStack™, for its public cloud offering, infiniCloud. Launched in December 2010, infiniCloud is an innovative on-demand cloud computing service for mission-critical industries like software as a service (SaaS) and media where scalability, availability, security and performance are critical. Logicworks chose Cloud.com because of its ability to accelerate time-to-market with a highly scalable, highly reliable cloud platform that could be optimized and tuned to meet customers’ performance and security requirements.
“infiniCloud is a key requirement for clients who want the benefits of Logicworks’ managed cloud services without sacrificing the ability to consume the resources they need on-demand”
“infiniCloud is a key requirement for clients who want the benefits of Logicworks’ managed cloud services without sacrificing the ability to consume the resources they need on-demand,” said Kenneth Ziegler, President and COO at Logicworks. “CloudStack provided us with a proven cloud management platform that enabled us to get to market quickly with a more feature-rich solution than the majority of our competitors. In just a few short months, we already have several satisfied enterprise clients, including NBC, Lagardere, and Kaplan, running production applications in infiniCloud.”
Growing interest in cloud computing as a new way of consuming IT resources is driving new revenue opportunities for managed services providers looking to help enterprises make the transition to the cloud. infiniCloud goes beyond the simple pay-as-you-go virtual machine offerings and targets enterprise-level projects by layering in the functionality required for running business-critical applications in the cloud. infiniCloud offers fully managed cloud services including shared root access, application monitoring, server patching, managed security, managed templates and snapshots, intrusion detection (IDS), and database clustering. It also enables hybrid cloud solutions for PCI, HIPAA, and SAS-70 Type II Compliance, making it one of the most advanced public cloud offerings in the market.
“Logicworks’ use of CloudStack in its innovative new offering and the short amount of time it took to move into production are strong validation of the quality of our solution,” said Sheng Liang, CEO at Cloud.com. “infiniCloud is a perfect example of the power and flexibility that today’s cloud computing environments can deliver and is uniquely positioned to address the market need with its ability to tie its traditional managed hosting offering with public cloud services. We look forward to continuing to work with Logicworks to address the needs of such a dynamic pool of customers.”
Recognizing that organizations currently face a daunting task when trying to build their own infrastructure as a service (IaaS) cloud environments, Cloud.com provides the latest and the most advanced software platform to build highly scalable, highly reliable cloud computing environments. Cloud.com currently counts over 50 large scale production clouds in deployment that have been built on its market-leading open source cloud computing solution, including leading social gaming companies, global telecommunications companies, managed hosting providers and Fortune 1000 enterprises. Cloud.com technologies can be deployed on-premise or as hosted cloud services.

I agree with Ian Underwood; the front page needs more visual fair. Have you considered putting the blogs up your ass? It should be dark, warm, and moist there. I'm sure that actual exclusive Morgage Protection CONTENT, not just collected Morgage Protection statistics that can be found elsewhere, might improve traffic. It should, because this Morgage Protection site is awesome.
